Oregon is a beautiful river state of peace, rest, building, and abundance. Its natural wonders and creative culture position it as a gatekeeper and life-bringer in the Northwest. Yet it must guard against progressive ideologies that drift from biblical truth and ensure its "own wings" fly under God's wind. Oregon's name carries a powerful prophetic sound, derived from a word meaning "storm" or "whirlwind." It is called to be a Trumpet State, a voice that declares God's judgments and calls a nation back to repentance — flowing as a beautiful river of life to the nation.
Today's Focus
Week 7: Building and Planting Godly Worship Systems
Week 7 (June 25 – July 1) turns to building and planting godly worship systems in lives, families, churches, counties, states, and the nation (Jeremiah 1:10; Matthew 12:43-44). On this final day of the 50-day campaign, we dedicate the year 2074 to Oregon's complete redemptive role within the coming half-century, and lift our eyes to the Jubilee Gate that this entire journey has been contending to capture.
The "Raising the 12" initiative is Jesus' discipleship strategy, forming a new priesthood of believers discipled into God's present activity (John 5:17, 19), who answer the urgent call of the hour (Ezekiel 22:30), network the remnant, embrace new wineskins, pursue a Nazarite separation, and set themselves apart as a dedicated few for God's purposes — in Oregon and in every sphere across the nation.
- Scripture Reading: Genesis 46.
- Thanksgiving: Praise God for the 50 Days · 50 States · 50 Years campaign, progress toward Jubilee, and His faithfulness to Oregon and America.
- Repentance: Confess national and state sins; bind evil systems and strongholds.
- Realignment: Special intercession for Oregon to align with God's purposes.
- Building Altars: Declare and establish Abrahamic worship altars across Oregon and the USA.
- Discipleship: Raise and disciple families; equip the "12" as new priests in every sphere.
- Prayer Web: Establish county connections forming the state web.
- Jubilee Gate: Prayers to capture and possess it.
Name & Destiny
Etymology of Oregon and Its Prophetic Link
The origin of the name Oregon remains partly mysterious but points to Indigenous roots. The earliest written record, from 1765, comes from Major Robert Rogers, referring to a river named something like "Ouragon" by Native peoples. Scholars trace it likely to Algonquian languages, with terms meaning "beautiful river" or a place of abundant, flowing waters.
Rivers in Scripture often symbolize the Holy Spirit's outpouring. Oregon's waterways, Pacific access, and natural abundance position it as a potential conduit for revival and refreshing in the Pacific Northwest, carrying living water to arid spiritual places.
Yet like any river, Oregon can also carry debris if not stewarded rightly. The call is to clear blockages and let a pure, life-giving flow prevail in the Second Revolutionary War.
Capital City: Salem
Salem, Oregon's capital since territorial days, derives its name from the Hebrew "Shalom" (peace), with biblical and settler influence. The original Indigenous Kalapuya name for the area, Chemeketa, carried the same meaning: "meeting or resting place." Salem as the Place of Peace echoes Jerusalem's role as a city of peace and gathering — called in this hour to model Shalom, wholeness, reconciliation, and rest in God amid cultural turbulence (Exodus 20:24; Psalm 76:2).
The Beaver State
Oregon's nickname traces to the early 19th-century fur trade, when beaver pelts were highly valuable and the beaver appeared on territorial seals and the state flag. Beavers are master builders and engineers, creating dams that transform landscapes and bring life to ecosystems. Spiritually, Oregon is called to build and engineer Kingdom structures of prayer altars, family foundations, and righteous systems that "dam" floods of evil while creating habitats for revival — moving from quirky individualism to strategic, fruitful labor for God's purposes.
Prophetic Markers
Oregon's Uniqueness and Calling
Oregon is the official Hazelnut (Filbert) Capital, producing the vast majority of the U.S. commercial crop — speaking of nourishment, hidden value, and abundance, a call to cultivate spiritual fruit that feeds the nation. Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States, formed in a volcanic caldera, symbolizes depth, purity, and rebirth from destruction; Oregon can host deep encounters with God, clear and profound waters of the Spirit emerging from past eruptions and crises.
Oregon's motto, "She flies with her own wings," reflects a pioneering, innovative spirit of quirky progressivism, craft culture, and creative independence. Positively, it fosters creativity and care for creation. Prophetically, it must submit to the Holy Spirit so independence becomes holy consecration rather than self-rule.
Family & Foundations
Current Family Status Compared to America's Founding
At America's founding, families formed the bedrock of society: stable, biblically grounded units centered on covenant marriage, multi-generational households, and the transmission of faith, virtue, and civic responsibility. Divorce was exceptionally rare and socially stigmatized.
In contemporary Oregon, family structures have shifted dramatically. Divorce rates hover around 2.8 per 1,000 population. Same-sex marriage, legalized in Oregon in 2014 via court ruling, is widely accepted with strong legal protections. Gender confusion and related ideologies influence education and policy, while abortion remains highly accessible — contributing to fewer traditional family formations, single-parent households, and delayed marriage.
Progressive cultural narratives, media, and public education systems emphasizing secular humanism, environmentalism, and identity politics often fill the void left by declining biblical influence. When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do (Psalm 11:3)? The righteous must arise as reformers: rebuild godly altars in homes through family prayer, Scripture, and discipleship; advocate for biblical values; intercede prophetically; and model covenant marriage and multi-generational faithfulness. Through the church and "Raising the 12," we disciple new priests who restore families as worship centers.
History
Early Revivals' Influence on Oregon
Oregon's pioneer history ties to missionary efforts and westward expansion via the Oregon Trail, where Protestant missionaries such as Jason Lee and Marcus Whitman brought the Gospel alongside settlers in the 1830s-1840s, establishing churches and shaping early moral frameworks amid frontier life. Later waves of revival, including echoes of the Great Awakenings and 20th-century Pentecostal movements, touched the region, though the Pacific Northwest has often been seen as spiritually resistant. Recent localized revivals, including stirrings in Portland, signal ongoing movement of the Spirit.
Oregon was not a state during the original Revolutionary War, joining the Union in 1859, but it embodies the pioneer spirit of westward expansion that extended American ideals. Its parallel role today is as a trailblazer in the spiritual Second Revolutionary War — pioneering reformation, breaking through isolation, and stewarding resources for national awakening against spiritual captivity.
Demographics
People Groups of Oregon
Oregon is also home to Black/African American communities (around 2%), American Indian and Alaska Native peoples including the Confederated Tribes (around 1%), and a growing multiracial population. Leadership in major urban areas and statewide policy leans predominantly liberal and progressive, contrasting with more conservative rural pockets. Major summer festivals, such as the Oregon Country Fair and Portland's seasonal events, often amplify progressive or alternative spiritual expressions — moments the church must recognize as opportunities for altar ministry and counter-prayer.
Spiritual Atmosphere
The Current Climate Over Oregon
Oregon exhibits one of the highest percentages of religiously unaffiliated people in America — 43% in recent data, sharply risen from 31% in 2014 — reflecting strong secular humanism, expansive abortion and LGBTQ+ protections, and a normalization of same-sex marriage and nature-oriented spirituality. Portland stands as a national epicenter of the "nones," New Age spirituality, occult practices, and open witchcraft, with groups such as Witches of Central Oregon and the Columbia River Witches Collective operating openly.
Idols of the Land
- Autonomy and self-expression — progressive values elevated above the Word.
- Environmentalism and nature treated as ultimate — creation worship over the Creator.
- Technology and innovation positioned as savior.
- Political ideology and experiential spirituality elevated over biblical truth.
The most committed strongholds are idolatry of self and of creation, secular humanism, sexual immorality, division, and spiritual blindness — shaped by cultural shifts, media, education, and unaddressed historical compromises. As with the churches of Revelation 2-3, the sin against the church here is complacency: compromise with worldly values, losing first love amid progressive culture, and failing to confront idolatry while maintaining prophetic purity.
Strategy
The Veil and Building the Prayer Web
A heavy veil of spiritual darkness and deception covers the land — but Oregon is marked for prophetic awakening.
In this campaign, we pray for Oregon to realign with God's destiny. We build a prayer web linking all counties into a unified state network — the essential strategy to tear the veil blinding people groups, youth, and the state. This veil of secularism, humanism, occult influences, and division quenches the Spirit, fosters spiritual deafness, and perpetuates bondage. Revival awaits its rending through united, persistent intercession, prophetic declarations, and the planting of Abrahamic worship systems.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we uproot, tear down, destroy, and overthrow every evil altar, demonic system, and ungodly covenant in Oregon (Jeremiah 1:10). We dethrone the gods of secularism, New Age deception, occultism, witchcraft, abortion, sexual immorality, gender confusion, and humanistic pride.
We dismantle every evil altar (Deuteronomy 7:1-5), confuse and spiritually scatter the evil priesthood operating in Portland, Salem, and across the state (1 Kings 18:40), destroy all evil sacrifices by the blood of the Lamb, and declare every evil covenant null and void (Hebrews 7:12; Exodus 12:12; Matthew 12:29). We command the veil of darkness covering Oregon, her cities, forests, mountains, and people groups to be torn in two (Isaiah 25:7-8), and we break the power of spiritual apathy and the rise of the "nones."

Today's Prayer
Praying for the State of Oregon
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ on behalf of the State of Oregon. We stand in the gap for every people group within her borders: Native American tribes including the Confederated Tribes and many others, European American descendants of pioneers, Hispanic communities, Asian Americans, African American families, Pacific Islanders, and all who dwell in this land. Let none miss Your visitation in this season of automatic release and Jubilee. Raise up faithful watchmen who will blow the trumpet and not keep silent.
Oregon, your name carries a powerful prophetic sound, derived from a word meaning storm or whirlwind. You are called to be a Trumpet State, a voice that declares God's judgments and calls a nation back to repentance. Just as Nahum saw that the Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet (Nahum 1:3), so your very identity proclaims that God uses storms and judgments to turn people toward righteousness. As Isaiah declared, when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness (Isaiah 26:9).
Historically, you are the end of the Oregon Trail, a place of pioneering courage, where settlers endured great trials to reach the Pacific. You joined the Union in 1859 as a free state. Your majestic mountains, ancient forests, rugged coastline, and powerful storms speak of both beauty and divine shaking. But we see what the enemy fears: Oregon is marked for prophetic awakening. You are called to sound the alarm like Joel 2:1 and like Jonah to Nineveh, calling cities and the nation to repentance before greater storms come. God visits in revival or in judgment; we cry out for mercy and revival.
We launch a Spiritual Revolutionary War for Oregon, just as our forefathers fought the Revolutionary War to break free from colonial bondage. We come against every spiritual bondage holding this state and nation captive. Now we plant and build a godly worship system across Oregon. We command you, Oregon, to return to your inheritance and divine destiny as a Trumpet State, a purified voice that sounds the alarm, calls for national repentance, and releases revival fire. Let the storms of the Spirit bring cleansing, awakening, and restoration rather than judgment.
We repent for the sins of Oregon and our nation: the shedding of innocent blood, sexual immorality, gender confusion, occult practices, and every force that has held us captive. We reset. We rebuild on the foundations of the Puritans and the fear of the Lord. We dedicate Oregon to God's purposes in this 50-year Jubilee campaign. Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers, for Oregon's prophetic calling, for the remnant that is rising, for the coming cleansing, and for the full release into Jubilee freedom (Psalm 50:23). We wait upon You, Lord. Speak to us. Instruct us. Use us as You will. The Spiritual Revolutionary War has begun. Oregon, blow the trumpet and be free! America, be free! In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
