Adullam Educational Center
"David gathered to himself those who were in distress, in debt, and discontented… and they became a mighty army." (1 Samuel 22:1-2; 2 Samuel 23:8-39)
Reaching vulnerable children in Uganda with the love of Christ through education, care, and the Gospel.
Who We Are
Adullam Educational Center is a God-fearing, Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and Bible-based Christian school founded in 2014 by Pastor William Nsereko Kinaalwa in Kampala, Uganda.
We currently serve 160 vulnerable pupils with 15 dedicated staff. Our children come from disadvantaged, needy, and broken families – many are orphans, HIV-affected, from single mothers, drunkard or abusive homes, or families with little or no income.
Our Story
In 2014, Pastor William Nsereko Kinaalwa started Adullam Educational Center out of deep love and pain for the many children in our community who had no access to education at all.
These precious children face hunger, abuse, disease, and hopelessness. Without school, they often fall into early marriage, child labor, or drug abuse. The enemy seeks to destroy the next generation – but God is raising a mighty army from the broken and distressed, just as He did in the days of David.
At Adullam, we minister to the physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of these children. We provide food, loving care, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and quality education that equips them to become self-reliant adults who will impact Uganda and Africa for the Kingdom.
According to the United Nations (2017), Uganda ranked 162nd of 189 countries in the Human Development Index in the UN development programme thus placing it in the low human development category. In 2016/2017, the annual economic growth was just 3.5%. The high population growth rate of 3.3% in 2016 and a rising inflation annual rate of 5.3% further aggravated the situation of Ugandans. The most vulnerable groups are children and women who live on less than US$ 1.92 per day. Uganda vision 2040 policy is established to ensure that all sections and all regions of the country benefit through frameworks and initiatives such as the current Parish Development Models (PDM). However, differences in access to education, traditional beliefs, disparities in employment opportunities, urbanization and generational poverty are still a big challenge to equitable access and resource distribution.
The situation is made worse by the HIV epidemic, Covid-19 Pandemics, conflicts and negative effects of globalization. As a result child neglect, abuse and exploitation has become rampant, raising the number of Uncared-for-children. The uncared-for-children resort to drugs/alcohol, dangerous behavior, and unwholesome activities which expose them to risks to life, including death. Adullam is a mission school where we make a deliberate effort to teach the children to know who they are and what they are supposed to do as a Nation.
Problem
The devil has destroyed Nations by destroying the children and the youth (The 10 point charter point program of Alice Bailey) – Exodus 1:15-16; 10:9-10; Matthew 2:16). God is working (John 5:17), the devil is working, what is the church doing? Due to the devil's plans to destroy children and youth the school is struggling to change the status quo but is faced by:
- Lack of well qualified and experienced secular and christian teachers to instruct the children appropriately in the scriptures and secular knowledge and understanding;
- Poor and insecure environment characterized of no parameter wall, semi-permanent few buildings;
- Inadequate household facilities like beds, mattresses, blankets, kitchen facilities;
- Underdeveloped Utilities like lack of solar power source, water harvesting tanks;
- Poor sanitation and hygiene facilities which comprise of dilapidated pit latrine and lack of septic tank;
- Poor teacher reporting times to school because of transport from their long distance residential houses;
- Lack of recreation sports facilities, equipments and playing fields;
- Unaffordability of children uniforms, school bags, and shoes;
- Lack of text and exercise books, teaching aids, pens and pencils;
- Lack of computers and internet facilities;
- Poor medical and treatment arrangements for children who fall sick while at the school.
Rationale / Justification
Uganda has the priestly/spiritual mandate to Nations while America has the Kingly/political mandate to the World according to the location, geography, names, prophecies, history, symbols. A king of the World must work with the priest to achieve the Great Commission of God. Uganda (Africa) and America are to work together to cause the World Wide Revival 2030-2050. Aligning Uganda and America back to the purpose of God requires raising an Army of Missionaries at all levels of society including the children levels to blow the trumpet, sensitizing each Nation on what they are supposed to do and how they are supposed to do it (Roman 13:14–17). The children Missionaries will fulfill this obligation by Igniting Prayer Altars in Schools to prepare specific Nations for the visitation of God. The directors therefore propose to:
- Provide a better building block of four classrooms and renovate existing buildings;
- Provide a toilet with a septic tank instead of pit latrine to improve sanitation and hygiene;
- Provide a school farm and income generating activities for sustainable service delivery;
- Provide better and clean water through installing water harvesting systems;
- Engage trained teaching and non-teaching staffs;
- Develop the skills of teachers and non-teaching staff through training;
- Short term interim food supplies of foods and drinks;
- Provide better salaries for the school teachers and non-teaching staff;
- Improve mobility in the daily operation by providing school own van;
- Initiate and manage productive linkages, partnerships and networking for the school;
- Provide for internet, computers and office equipments like a photocopier and printer.

The Challenge We Face
Most of our children cannot afford school fees. Although fees are our primary source of income, we are currently operating in deficit. This limits our ability to:
- Hire and retain qualified Christian teachers
- Provide balanced meals instead of the cheapest food
- Renovate classrooms and maintain facilities
- Clear debts and pay staff arrears
- Build decent classrooms and housing for teachers
As a result, it is difficult to attract paying parents who could help subsidize the most vulnerable children. We need your help to build capacity so the school can become sustainable while continuing to serve the poorest.
Our Future by God's Grace
With your partnership, we plan to construct a secondary school and eventually a Christian university by 2040 – raising a generation that knows Christ and transforms nations.
