Connecticut

The Constitution State — Custodians of God's Law · Covenant Keepers · Teachers and Pastors

May 14, 2026 · Prayer & Fasting Day 2 · Year 2 of 50

Connecticut, one of the 13 original colonies, carries the DNA of constitutional governance and spiritual liberty. Its Puritan roots and the Fundamental Orders of 1639 — the first written constitution in the Americas — birthed covenant governance. Today we call every believer in the Constitution State to set themselves apart.

Connecticut — The Constitution State

Connecticut's Puritan roots and the Fundamental Orders of 1639 — the first written constitution in the Americas — birthed covenant governance for a nation. Yet today, moral erosion, economic pressures, intellectual pride, and coastal liberalism test its foundations. We call every believer to tear down personal altars of materialism and fear, to revive the covenant spirit that once made this land a city on a hill, and to deliver Connecticut's families and churches from hidden bondages so the state enters its Jubilee inheritance of godly influence.

The people of Connecticut have the legal and spiritual authority to denounce every anti-biblical law that contradicts the original documents of the USA and the Word of God.

Conditions for Revival — 2 Chronicles 7:14

2 Chronicles 7:14 · NIV
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

This scripture shows the clear steps to the healing of the land. There is no doctor who can treat a patient without a proper diagnosis. If we are to pray right (1 John 5:14–15; Isaiah 58:1–4), we must first correctly identify the wounds at every level in Connecticut and the USA. We do not want to treat the wound of the USA on the surface — that is what is being done today when we tell people revival is here while doing nothing. Let us use these 50 days to honestly diagnose the wound of the USA for the proper cure (Hosea 5:15).

An altar that burns the most is the one that rules. We cannot defeat evil altars by praying prayers of agreement only.

Day 2 · Connecticut Prayer Guide

People who are called by God's name are not simply those who attend church. They are true believers who bear the testimony and character of God. In Revelation 1:5, He is the faithful witness, and He has called and commissioned us to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8). Witnessing is not only saying "Jesus loves you" — it is about a personal relationship and the work Jesus has done in you (Rev 12:11), obedience to Him, and your daily walk with Him (Luke 9:23; Phil. 3:1–11; Romans 12:1–2).

How did George Whitefield, Charles Finney, and the Puritans bring God back in their generations? They did not just talk about revival — they prayed like William Seymour prayed for seven hours every day until the outpouring happened. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He is looking for the same level of commitment and consecrated vessels to heal the USA today.

The Four Steps + God's Promise

An outline of 2 Chronicles 7:14 — four conditions God requires, and one promise He guarantees.

Step 1 · Called by His Name

Not everyone who attends church or says "Lord, Lord." These are people who bear God's character and nature (Rev 1:5; Acts 1:8; John 1:12–13). Their lives testify to a transformed walk — obedience, personal fellowship with Jesus, and the work of the cross in them.

Israel lost the Ark to the Philistines because they treated God's presence as magic instead of relationship (1 Samuel 4–5). The question: Are we truly called by His name, or just sleeping in the garage calling ourselves cars?

Step 2 · Humble Themselves

This is the 50-day posture — recognise our need and set ourselves apart like the Nazirites, Daniels, Josephs, Puritans, Whitefields, Finneys, Father Nash, and William Seymour.

No revival has ever come without brokenness. Humility is not weakness — it is the doorway to heaven's response.

Step 3 · Pray & Seek His Face

Not casual agreement prayers. Jesus prayed "with loud cries and tears" (Hebrews 5:7–9). Seymour prayed seven hours a day for the Azusa Street outpouring.

Pew Research (2025) shows only 44% of Americans pray at least once a day, down sharply from 58% in 2007. Revival altars stay cold when evil altars burn hot with daily sacrifices.

Step 4 · Turn from Wicked Ways

Genuine repentance — not surface-level. This is where accurate diagnosis matters. We cannot treat what we will not name. God told Jeremiah the people were treating a serious injury like a scratch (Jeremiah 6:14).

We must go deeper in these 50 days — deeper in honesty, deeper in repentance, deeper in consecration.

God's Promise

"Then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." When all four conditions are met, heaven opens. Forgiveness flows. The land is healed. This is not wishful thinking — it is a covenant promise from a covenant-keeping God.

The Wounds at Every Level

We cannot treat what we will not name. Here are the open wounds in Connecticut and the USA crying out for the blood of Jesus. These wounds will not heal with slogans — we must go deeper in these 50 days.

Abortions in the USA in 2025 (Guttmacher Institute)
  • Personal & Family
Broken Families & Fatherlessness Broken relationships, fatherlessness, addiction, pornography, anxiety, and spiritual emptiness. Marriages under attack; generations growing up without the fear of the Lord.

Approximately 19 million children (1 in 4) in the USA live without a biological, step, or adoptive father in the home. 85% of youth in prison and 71% of high school dropouts come from fatherless homes. Over 1.8 million Americans divorced in 2023. (U.S. Census Bureau & Pew Research)

  • Business & Economic
Greed, Materialism & Idolatry of Wealth Corruption, materialism, and the idolatry of wealth. Connecticut's wealth gap — one of the nation's highest — hides deep spiritual poverty behind financial success.

Connecticut has one of the highest levels of income inequality in the U.S., with a Gini coefficient of approximately 0.499 — ranking among the top nationally.

  • The Church
Compromise, Lukewarmness & Cold Altars Entertainment over discipleship, and fear of the cost of holiness. Many altars are cold because there is no living sacrifice (Romans 12:1–2). Prayer gatherings resemble social clubs more than battlegrounds.

Only 62% of U.S. adults identify as Christians (Pew Research 2023–24), with monthly church attendance around 30–33%. Daily prayer stands at 44% — and declining.

  • People Groups
Racial Division & Generational Strongholds Racial division, injustice, hopelessness in cities, and generational bondages that have never been fully broken. Every people group carries redemptive gifts waiting to be unlocked through repentance and healing.
  • State · CT
Abortion & Permissive Laws High abortion rates and permissive policies that normalize what Scripture calls sin, while the church remains largely silent.

Connecticut reported 13,340 abortions in 2024 (up 7% from 2023), with Guttmacher estimates at 15,090. (Charlotte Lozier Institute & Guttmacher Institute)

  • National · USA
Moral Collapse & Loss of First Love Political hatred, moral collapse including sexual immorality, greed, and violence, declining biblical literacy, and the loss of the first love our Founding Fathers carried.

Approximately 1,126,000 abortions in 2025 (Guttmacher Institute), with monthly averages near 98,800–99,000.

How God Healed America Before

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He healed this land through vessels who paid the price. They did not just talk about revival — they became the revival through obedience and cost. The same standard applies today.

The Puritans

Established a "city on a hill." Laid the covenant foundation of the nation.

Whitefield & Edwards

The First Great Awakening — thunderous preaching of repentance and holy living.

Finney & Father Nash

The Second Great Awakening — prayer that shook the frontier and transformed societies.

William Seymour

Prayed seven hours daily. The Azusa Street Revival ignited global Pentecostalism.

Hebrews 13:8 Hebrews 5:7–9 Ezekiel 22:30 Romans 12:1–2 Luke 9:23 2 Chron 7:14

The Connecticut Prayer

Corporate Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up Connecticut and the nation. We repent. We reset. We rebuild. Let the fire of the First Great Awakening be rekindled in this Constitution State. Let another awakening break out from this soil where covenant governance was first written down.

We come before You with honest hearts, acknowledging the wounds at every level — in our families, our churches, our communities, and our government. We will not treat the serious injury like a scratch. We humble ourselves before You, we pray with tears and perseverance, we seek Your face, and we turn from our wicked ways — personally and corporately.

Raise up intercessors in Connecticut who will stand in the gap. Raise up Daniels and Josephs, Whitefields and Finneys, Seymours and Father Nashes for this generation. Let our altars burn hotter than the evil altars through daily surrender and living sacrifice.

Connecticut, arise! Return to your roots. The Constitution was written on earth, but the true Constitution of this land is written in heaven. Let the spiritual Revolutionary War prevail. The awakening is coming!

In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ — Amen and Amen!

Prophetic Declarations Over Connecticut

  • We declare Connecticut returns to its covenant roots — the Fundamental Orders of 1639 were birthed in the fear of God and so shall the next 50 years be.
  • We declare the spirit of constitutional governance and spiritual liberty is restored to this state and flows from it to the nation.
  • We declare the altars of every believer in Connecticut are re-ignited — cold no more, burning with living sacrifice.
  • We declare that intercessors in Connecticut shall pray like Seymour, fast like Elijah, and stand like Father Nash until heaven responds.
  • We declare the wounds of fatherlessness, addiction, greed, and moral compromise are healed by the blood of Jesus in every Connecticut family.
  • We declare the church in Connecticut arises from lukewarmness into fire, from entertainment into discipleship, from comfort into costly obedience.
  • We declare a new generation of Daniels and Josephs is rising in Connecticut — set apart, called by His name, walking in His character.
  • We declare Connecticut fires the next spiritual shot — as it birthed the first written constitution, it shall birth a covenant of revival for the next 50 years.
  • Connecticut, you will not miss your visitation in this Jubilee season!

Personal Commitment Challenge — Today for Connecticut

Will you set yourself apart as a Daniel, a Joseph, a Puritan, a Whitefield, a Finney, a Seymour? Will you pray like they prayed? Will you pay the price so that Connecticut and every state can be healed?

God is looking for intercessors who will stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30) — not just talk about it. The evil altars are fervent because of daily sacrifices. Let our altars burn hotter through daily surrender.

We begin with honest diagnosis. We continue with costly obedience. The healing of the land is waiting on a people called by His name — not in word only, but in walk.
